Lenna’s New Groove

As you may or may not know, I am launching a new spiritual entrepreneurship. I have included your email address in my initial list, but if you are not interested in receiving weekly newsletters or special offers, please feel free to scroll down to the bottom and click unsubscribe.

The Leap of Faith

A little bit over a year ago, I decided to take a leap of faith. At the risk of sounding flighty, I’ll admit there have been plenty of times in my professional life where I have wanted something new, something different, something anything. A friend once gave me a fun tin of colored pencils so I could draw all the business ideas I’ve dreamt up, and my husband often teases me that I am on “Lenna’s New Groove, Take 27” (I’m much higher than that now by the way). But no calling has ever been as strong as the one I received in the summer of 2021, one that has led me to become a qigong and meditation teacher and energy healer.

Box Checking

I’ll admit, I’m a box checker. I like to create to-do lists and check off each task at completion. And yes, sometimes I write an already-completed task on the list just to check it off. Box checking for this new business included earning some certifications. Maybe it’s not necessary, but I felt like potential clients would take me more seriously if I had some expertise in the areas I want to teach…I mean, would you really practice yoga with a teacher who isn’t certified to teach yoga?

I tend to be an overachiever at times, and I may have taken the certifications to an extreme. But when I am casting the net wide as I start this journey, it just felt right. It’s also my way around the “no more college degrees” request from my husband. Here is my list so far (I can’t help it, I’m a lifelong learner):

  • Certified Meditation Teacher (CMT200)
  • Reiki Healing, Level 1 (Reiki Master, coming soon!)
  • Deep Spirit Medicine Mastery
  • Certified Deep Spirit Medicine, Level 1 Facilitator
  • Certified Cacao Ceremony Facilitator
  • Holden™ Qigong Facilitator, Tier 1 (I’m sooooo close!

Many Hats

I’ve worn a few different professional hats in this beautiful lifetime: structural engineer, middle school science teacher, assistant principal. Some of you have known me a short time, and some of you have known me “forever”.

Today, I continue on the path I’ve been laying the foundation for my whole life. I am so grateful for the support I have received and for those who continue to believe in me along the way. I look forward to connecting with you soon.

With love and light,
